Preparing your content

When you order your e-brochure, we will email you a set of simple instructions to make it easy for you to prepare and submit the text and images you want to include in your brochure. There is also a telephone helpline if you need any additional assistance. The instructions will include guidance on such matters as word count and use of images, etc. The following brief notes may also help you to think through what you can include in your e-brochure.

Text
You will be sent a standard template in the form of a Microsoft Word file which you can use for the submission of the text for your e-brochure. This will make it easy for you to indicate what text should appear on what pages, which is to be highlighted or appear as headlines etc. The text you send will be cut and pasted into the final e-brochure so you will need to ensure it is accurate and error free before submission.

Images
Whilst not all the design templates require the inclusion of images, your e-brochure will always look better if some graphic imagery can be included. Images (including logos, digital images and graphics) should be supplied in either JPEG or TIFF digital file formats. Guidance will be provided to ensure that what you provide will be of a suitable standard to ensure quality reproduction in your brochure.

If you do not have any suitable images available then feel free to contact us to discuss how we can help with obtaining library photographs, commissioning professional photography or the creation of graphic elements.

If you are supplying hard copy images for scanning (e.g. photographic prints or transparencies), these will need to be posted to us in suitable stiffened envelopes, with postage paid return envelopes provided if you require them to be returned to you. (NB Whilst we endeavour to treat all supplied materials with great care, we regret that we cannot take responsibility for any damage to or loss of materials supplied to us).

Proofing
We do everything to try and make the submission of your text and images as simple and foolproof as possible, however you will be supplied with a proof of the final layout for approval before the interactive functions are added.
