Community SportEveryone in the Words & Images Partnership is interested in sport. Whether it be playing, coaching, watching or helping to manage and support local clubs, we individually and collectively take great pleasure from sport in general. We also believe that sport benefits communities. So we try to give something back to sport and to our local community in whatever ways we can. Andy Criddle, our senior partner, is deeply and madly passionate about sport - especially rugby and Northampton Saints in particular. Having played and coached rugby for many years, he now claims to be a confirmed 'alickadoo' (which we understand is another term for an 'old fart'). He is also an ex Tennis Club Chairman, a golfer and helps manage junior cricket. Which begins to explain why he got involved in community sports networks and is Vice-Chairman of two of these - Dacorum Sports Network & Tring Sports Forum. These networks are helping local clubs across all sports to work together to benefit and promote local sport and lobby for extra facilities and government support.Andy is also a trustee of a local sporting charity (Tring Community Sports Trust).
So, it's no surprise that Words & Images has been involved in designing web sites and providing other marketing, design and communcations support for so many local sporting organisations. This has included developing community sport web sites, designing programmes for club and regional sports festivals, display materials, sponsorship materials, designing logos, and managing events, etc.. So if you are involved in sport and need the skills that Words & Images can offer, talk to us. We will definitely be sympathetic and keen to help. And, for good causes, we try to offer our help very cost-effectively - including donating our services free of charge on occassions (no promises though). |
